Every once in a while, the Portland Stage (a crew of fantastic actors) puts together a dramatic reading of a writer’s work (ala Selected Shorts). Longfellow Books often sponsors these events, and they draw good crowds. This month, the Maine Festival of the Book comes to Portland, and on Sunday the 24th, Daniel Noel and his cohort will be reading work by Monica Wood, Lisa Carey, Peter Behrens and me. I think they’ll use four-six different actors to read my story “The Toast.” (I’ve attached the poster here, but I can’t make it any smaller, so you’ll have to scroll down this page to see it.)

Clever! Fun! Imaginative! Dark! This is good reading, folks.

Photos of my new office/shack coming soon. In the meantime, this is where I’ll be until next week:

Going to the G.C., by way of Las Vegas.
